I have always been passionate about education. After gaining sufficient experience in international teaching methodologies I came to India in 1991. The education system then was grappling with archaic evaluation/dissemination models restricted to rote learning. My conviction in the need for change led to the establishment of the first Kangaroo Kids preschool in 1991.

As we started gaining new grounds in education, Kangaroo Kids became synonymous with preschool education. We introduced path breaking concepts like learner centric education, research based curriculum and practical application of knowledge assimilated backed by international standards and processes. KKEL, the country’s first private education organization set fresh benchmarks across the K12 segment with the introduction of Billabong High International schools. We initiated radical methodologies like real-time delivery of curriculum, inclusive education, open-entry system, lowest teacher-student ratios, parent partnership model etc.

We were the first and are still among the very few to have an in-house R&D unit to design learning solutions at par with international standards, driven by one of the largest and most well qualified teams of experts across each arena. KKEL still retains its edge on being the first and only education organisation to develop a 360 degree delivery model of curriculum, infrastructure, teaching methodology, operational processes, policies and quality benchmarking from the learner’s point of view.

KKEL is also the foremost national education chain to set its imprints globally. Today, KKEL supports 80 schools in India operating across 17 cities with an international presence in Dubai and Maldives. We also introduced franchising in the sector and created first wave ‘edupreneurs’ thereby initiating dynamic wealth creation in the sector. For the next 5 years, KKEL plans to reach out to every key metro, tier 1 & 2 cities in India and other developing countries
